To Become a Licensed Family Child Care Provider

Step One: Call the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) at  617-472-2881 and ask to be enrolled in the Potiental Provider Meeting. This meeting is free to attend and are offered twice each month at EEC offices throughout the state.

Step Two: After the two-hour Potiental Provider Meeting, you will have to attend a five-hour Family Child Care Orientation (FCCO); registrataion is required. The orientation will prepare you to start the process of becoming a Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care licensed family child care provider. Learn in depth about the requirements and regulations to operate a child care business in your home. Learn about tools and techniques to help start your business.

FCCO fee is $30.00 per person and registration is required.
